1990 Thunderbird

I'm looking at purchasing a 1990 Ford Thunderbird that needs ball joints and control arms as the rubber is dry. The car has 91,000 miles, is it worth investing in the repairs, thanks!

Depending on the condition of the rest of the car (i.e. brakes, transmission, a/c etc) if steering or suspension is the only issue, grab it. Ford makes a very good product.

Sounds like with a little work and money you could have a nice car.

if the car is in good shape then yes it is worth it. the bearings wil need repacing but not a huge deal as moog has them for a pretty good price

Honestly all repairs are worth the quality or premium product if you don't and something breaks you could be in for. A real. Bad day. Never scimp regardless of the age of vehicle

It all depends on the cost of the car and the reasons you are buying it. If it's just a car to get around town then that may not be the car you want to get. Fuel economy won't be very good. With that being said, if you always wanted a 1990 Thunderbird and this one is in mint shape other than the ball joint issues, then by all means grab it. That's not a terribly complicated repair and is most likely just due to wear and tear and age. It' all about why you are buying ti and for what price.

honestly i would say its what the car costs and what you think its worth. if its cheap enough it could be worth ashot.
