2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Vehicle is overheating with no leaks and the cooling fan will cut on for a brief second then cut off???

    I agree with muddymopar, as I believe the fan grounds through the pcm.

    Fan module.  Or possible load side issue on relay?

    Connect your scan tool and see if the PCM is requesting the fan.  Also, see if the fan will come on when you command it.  If it shows it should be on perform voltage and ground drop tests to see if the motor is receiving clean signals.

    Also check the relay located directly below passenger headlamp I believe there is a updated relay

    1st thing, verify that you are not losing power to the fan. If you are, test the fan control module. They are a fairly common failure.
