2009 Audi A6 Quattro: No Caster Specifications Listed

by precisionautolic on Aug 29 2017, 7:21 PM

We have a 2009 Audi A6 Quattro that came into the shop following a front end collision. Audi claims there are no Caster specifications for this vehicle, but we believe there is significant cradle shift and the Left Front Caster Value is close to 0.

Does anyone have a known good Caster value for this vehicle?

The caster in those “aren’t” adjustable. (With stock arms). So as long as anything isn’t bent and they aren’t massively spread there shouldn’t be any issues with it.

Unfortunately, Audi has no caster specs for many vehicles including your own. I wouldn’t worry too much about what the caster measurement is but how far off they are side to side. Quite often in a front end collision the cradle is shifted back and sticks in that position. Sometimes you can loosen the cradle bolts on the collision side of vehicle and it will spring back to the relaxed position. Other times you may have to loosen both sides. Hope this helps!
