ABS Light On 2006 Nissan Maxima

by moogman2017 on Jun 20 2017, 8:44 PM

2006 Nissan Maxima ABS light illuminated.  Rear passenger side sensor no signal.  This vehicle has aluminum knuckles, with galvanic corrosion causing jacking of the plastic wheel sensor mounting plate (disc) and mis-aligning the sensor. Removed hub, cleaned hole (seat area for plastic sensor mount) to remove corrosion so plastic mount would return to proper shape and position. Reinstalled hub, sensor. Sensor now reads correctly.

Perfect example of rust jacking causing ABS sensor issue.

Picture is actually of driver side, shows the plastic cover/mount.
