seeing as how these (sensor AND ring) are both common problems. simply replace both. not much of an expense and eliminates the chance of customer returning with same problem in the future. easier to explain a slight increase in cost vs a second time in (still with more cost to customer)

Remove the sensor & ck the tone ring with a long screwdriver to see if the tone ring is cracked & spinning on the axle shaft. Been a common issue. There still could be that the sensor has quit.

I would hook up my lab scope and see if I was getting a signal from the sensor. The abs should start to read at 5 mph. keep an eye on that wheel to see if signal is erratic when driving. From past experience, these ABS sensors are known to go bad

The code would give really more information. Try checking with the official dealer if you do not have the opportunity to see or find it.

You should look into identifix.com for known/common problems, great source there.  On this vehicle it's 50/50 sensor and toner ring for 'common' things.

Of course diagnosing with a voltmeter/labscope/scantool is the best option.

I would have to agree. Do you have the 6 digit code? Also, have you connected a scanner or the Witech to the vehicle and monitored the scan data in graph mode to see what the ABS unit is seeing? This type does not set unless you are driving 25+ mph.

Bottom line you will need to do some baseline diagnostics first and then post your results in order for anyone to be able to assist you.

Can you provide some additional information based on the code information? If we get the rest of the code, it might help diagnose the issue.
