Bad Rotors

2004 Toyota Corolla, did a brake job with parts store parts. Car drives great no issues.  A month later get a call about grinding.  Test drive, no issues.  After a few test drives and frustration realize its only when they get really hot.  I should also mention parts got torqued correctly etc.  Pull the wheel off to check and the Steel rim has elongated lug holes.  Thats weird.  Measure the rotor and compare to OEM all measurements are good.  Torque everything and test drive again,  for an hour, find that when it gets hot, very hot it feels like the wheel is going to fall off.  Throw Toyota rotors on it, the problem is fixed, I figure the parts store rotors changed under heat... ever since I buy the manufacturer brake parts, too many variables at the parts stores.

Never had this issue with aftermarket rotors, but good information to be aware of

I guess you get what you pay for.  We use aftermarket rotors a lot with no problems.  But the every know and then freak case will have you wondering about the quality of parts you are using.
