best sounding muffler

what are some thoughts on the best sounding mufflers for trucks and for cars

    AP exhaust has an excellent selection of performance mufflers. Everything from welded mufflers to stock quiet mufflers. I bought a oval cherry bomb for my Yukon. Loud on acceleration; quiet while cruising. Just what I wanted.

    Really depends on the sound you're looking for. If you want factory fit (normally quieter), Walker is best. If you want loud, go with Flowmaster.

    I have a 97 Nissan Pickup (4WD) and it seems like no matter what we put on it, currently has a Walker Quiet Flow, it isn't as quiet as I'd like it. Is that because of the age of the vehicle or should I try another brand?

    really depends on the car/truck it is going on... To me flowmaster and borla are so mainstream exhausts the anyone has, my opinion/suggestion go to your local performance/tuner car shop and ask for their opinions for a full exhaust from the headers back. It will be pricey, but it will sound a lot better than the basic axle back exhausts everyone has.

    I like the classic sound of the flowmasters, but I also like some of the magnaflow mufflers as well.

    I use a lot of Flowmasters.  They all have their purpose ranging from quiet to obnoxious.   Super 10's have been a good seller as of late, sounds good on a lot of the late model pickups.
