Broken bolts

The best method I have found to remove a broken bolt or stud is to use a MIG welder.  First unhook the battery( if broken bolt is on a vehicle).  Next place the welder ground close to the broken bolt.  Next, with the MIG welder heat turned up, start dab small welds on the broken bolt, as the weld begins to build up, hold the arc a little longer each time and eventually the bolt will be glowing red hot.  Now you may attempt to remove the bolt with some vise grip pliers or other tool.  By this point most broken bolts will come out.  Sometimes, on a stubborn bolt, you may have to repeat this process 2 or 3 times.

What methods do you use to remove a broken bolt or stud?

i have a small pipe wrench that I use on the part sticking out, since there are many places that you cannot get the welder into.

Also I've Found that if you Mig Weld a Nut to the Bolt (Depending Where it is) it is possible to unbolt it for bolts with stripped heads.

All depends on where its located and whether it broke above surface or below.  Heating it up and touching a beeswax candle to the bolt, help also. If above surface, you can weld a nut to it, to help remove it, Below surface, patience, a good drill bit and a center punch helps and patience...
