Anybody run into issues with carbon buildup on the back side of intake valves on GDI engines?  And if so, what method are you using to resolve the problem?

BG products has a kit for GDI cars. We have used it on two vehicles and has worked well

We have had great results using the seafoam spray make sure to use the entire can.  The GM products seem to be the worst for this issue.  I have also used it before replacing the spark plugs in those nasty fords that break off it seems to clean them enough to make them alot easier to take out.

We have used seafoam in a aerosol can just using the provided inverted hose to spray in the throllebody.  seems to work well on those GM products.

CRC makes an aerosol cleaner for GDI and turbo engines. We have only used it a few times so far but have been happy with the results. Although it's only been done as routine maintenance so far; not to cure a problem.
