Chrysler minivan sway bar bushings wear prematurely

by mobiletech on Jun 01 2017, 3:32 PM

I have used several brands of sway bar bushings including Moog on Chrysler/dodge vans and I have noticed they do not last I understand the slot in the bushing should face downwards and there should be weight on the tires while installing.

USUALLY USE THE DEALER SWAY BAR BUSHINGS WHEN REPLACING AS THEY ARE THE BETTER FIT AND HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. I FIND USING THE AFTERMARKET SWAY BAR BUSHINGS CAUSE NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS THEN IT MAKE FOR AN UPSET CUSTOEMR BLAMING THE TECHNICIAN

Moog makes a problem solver for this exact problem there is a sleeve that goes over the sway bar first then the bushing goes on they also just came out with bushings with a Kevlar liner that protects the inside of the bushing when the bar moves side to side
