Cleaning new rotors

How do you clean oil off new rotors?

soap and water or break clean?

    We use brake clean. Have never had issues using this method

    I start with brake cleaner and then use soapy water , soapy water is said to remove contaminats that brake cleaner will not remove, failling to do so could cause premature scalling on rotors (so I have heard ) , I have also been told that Mercedes have a p/n for soap -water solution .

    I've used both methods but usually go to brake clean

    soap and water is the thing to do. brake kleen leaves a thin film on the rotors

    I wipe it down with a microfiber rag then Brake cleaner, then wipe again with clean rag and repeat once more
