Diagnosing Bad U-joints

When diagnosing bad u-joints, I always first look for rust coming out of the u-joint caps.

In my experience looseness and clunking noise is the first indication of bad u joints. also pulling the driveshaft and checking needle bearings in extreme cases may be necessary.
