Be sure to clean and lube the caliper slides to ensure a no come back brake job.

    To ensure flawless brake component movement, complete cleaning and lubing of all involved is an absolute must. and extra 5 minutes is nothing compared to the safety of positive usage from all components.

    I always use 3m disc to clean caliper bridges, install new hardware and lube slides with sil-glyde.

    i usually run a file across the slide area to get rid of any rust buildup.  i also use a scotchbrite wheel on one of my grinders to remove any buildup on the caliper pin sleeves and then lube.
