Jeep Grand Cherokee
by dale@connell on Jul 13 2019, 12:54 AMI've replaced HVAC assy's on three late model grand Cherokees in the last year. Model years 2011-2014. The glue that holds the rubber seals on the doors,or the seals themselves are turning into a paste/glue that seals the door shut and won't allow it to open. The first one would not direct air to the drivers side defrost until the temperature came up to loosen the paste then the door would open. The last one was so stuck it snapped the actuator linkage on the right blend door. With the actuator removed,I had to pry the door open to unseal it.Not sure what the actual cause is,but watch out for it.
