Seized rotors or drums

If you have badly seized rotors or drums due to rust.  Do not attempt to remove with a regular hammer.  Grab your air hammer and put in a hammer bit.  Then with the air hammer hit the surface between the wheel studs with a few air hammer bursts and the frozen rotor or drum will pop loose.

Many of them have a threaded hole to run a bolt into to push them off

I've also used a 3 jaw puller or slide hammer with flange attachment

I personally use a hammer... I go to a tech center for training and they taught us the best way to do it was to hit it with a hammer... It does make sense to do it both ways (air hammer or normal balphine hammer)

Be very careful.  several good hits with a hammer and you will probably be replacing wheel hub bearings soon.  my worst case scenario, I grooved the rotor with a wizzer wheel and then split the rotor along the groove.

That is the way I do a majority of my seized rotors - but every once in a while I still need to break out a really big hammer. Just saying.
