TPMS Light

by belmontken on May 23 2019, 2:16 PM

Changed the wheels on a 2014 Jeep Patriot from OE to aftermarket. Same size and dimensions of wheel and tire, and tire pressure. Jeep now has TPMS light. It has the indirect  system for the TPMS. Had wheel speed sensor checked, hub checked, all OK. Played with air pressure, still no luck. Scanner came up with nothing. Jeep only has 57K. Can't figure this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there are no codes, look in the data for the TPMS & see what the modules sees the tire pressure as. If actual tire pressure is OK & there are no codes it is likely that a sensor is reading incorrectly. If the TPMS light is on staedy & not flashing, the truck believes it has low tire pressure. Somtimes the TPMS system just needs reset. If the TPMS light flashes when first starting, you will need to change scan tools because there is a system fault.
