When installing new joints, prep work done before makes the job go smoother. First I  clean the u-joint yoke and flanged with a red rag and Brakleen.  Then take a carbide grinding bit in my air grinder and remove any burrs that may have been created in the u-joint removal process. Next lubricate the holes with axle grease or anti seize compound. Now you a ready to install the u-joint.

Using a  Ball Joint press to remove the old U-joint can make things easier too

Don't forget you should also pack the bearing caps with grease before installing.
