Lots of issues in our area with saving the clips.  I would agree that they should be included in the bearing packaging.  There is so much salt and brine put on our roads in our area that we even have to replace the complete knuckle at times cause the recess for the ring is gone.

We at times are able to get away with reusing the clip, but we automatically price out clip.  But agree, should come with the bearings.

If you work in the Brine Belt, you darn well better quote a new retaining ring every time. That way no second requote when you need a new one. It would certainly be nice if it was always included in the box.

I have always been able to reuse the retaining clip. What kind of trouble are you having that you a replacement clip? What methods are you using to removing it?

i wish they came in the box but we have a TON of them for vehicles so when we do them we find what we need and install them

It would be more convenient if they did include the clips. I don't know if they should or not. By the time you replace your 2nd bearing, you should know that they are not included. Also these clips & retainers generally are not that expensive. If you aren't leaving a little room in your estimate for variables, what do you do when you do find those unforeseen problems? Give yourself a little room & it's no big deal.

Yes can not argue with you when purchasing wheel bearing the retaining ring should come in the box with them. Some brands do some don't just a way for the part makers getting more money our of the consumer.

Sometimes they do, other times they don't.  always order one so you aren't waiting on that one part to finish the job
