Biography

Jacob Wilkinson is a 13-year-old UMP Sport Compact driver from West Lafayette, Indiana who started racing in 2014 at the age of 12 years old. In his very first season of racing, he won two heat races and two features, and finished in sixth place in Daugherty Speedway track points, as well as 76th in the UMP National point standings for the UMP Sport Compacts.

For the 2015 race season Jacob set his goals much higher than his rookie season. He reached every goal, and even surpassed them. Jacob finished the 2015 race season with 21 heat race wins and 11 feature wins. He also picked up two track championships at both Daugherty Speedway in Chase, Indiana and Vermilion County Speedway in Oakwood, Illinois. He finished the season in eighth place for the Sport Compacts in the Northern region points as well as 23rd in the National point standings. He had an amazing season with lots of support from sponsors, fellow racers, fans and family. For the 2016 season, Jacob set his goal to become the national point standings champion.
